HTA is a patented ready-to-use additive for starch-based glue mixtures used in the production of corrugated boards. Applying the performance additive rapidly improves the drying rate of the starch-based adhesive, which allows plants to increase production speed by up to 50%, particularly of double and triple wall corrugated board.
Furthermore, HTA enables good bonding at high speeds of paper which is typically difficult to manufacture, such as high grammage paper and specialty (plastic) paper. Adding HTA reduces blistering and edge delamination, which leads to waste reduction. Enhanced mechanical properties are guaranteed even at high production speed, resulting in consistently good quality board with improved printability and overall strength.
Applying HTA in production facilitates lower processing temperatures, thereby reducing unit costs and CO2 emissions per metric ton.

High compatibility with starch favours the physical properties of the glue,which translates to an improvement of the bond performance at high speeds.
